"One Night in Rome" tour updates

The book tour continues from Tucson this week. Where have I been so far? The trip started on March 31st at the send off party that my friends held for me at Stonegate Rocks Pizza in Tacoma, Washington. On April 1st, I visited my hometown, Winthrop and reconnected with friends from high school at the iconic Three Fingered Jack's Saloon. April 2nd I visited Omak then spent time with my cousin, aunt, and old friends in Brewster. Then it was on to Spokane where I reconnected with more old friends and had the pleasure of spending Easter Sunday with my best friend from elementary school at her home outside of Priest River, Idaho. Driving out through northern Idaho, I was stopped by herds of big horn sheep on the highway. Missoula was just an overnighter before I drove on to Butte and had the pleasure of spending the night in a home full of college students who graciously opened their doors and gave me a tour of the historic mining town. Then there was the white-out driving conditions on I-90 through western Montana. And the vast open spaces of North Dakota with rolling hills dotted in buffalo. In Minnesota I stayed with a second cousin and visited my grandparents' graves. Forging on through Wisconsin and into Illinois, I stopped for an impromptu visit at Oprah's studios. That was a bit of a bust, but fun. It produced one of my favorite videos of the entire trip - so far.

In updating this blog, I'm realizing that I should spend more time describing all of the places this tour has taken me. After all, I'm in Arizona now and there were 22 states between home and here. And ITALY - with 3 more states to go before I get home again. So that will be on my list of things to write about - details of this insane book promotion - if it could be called that.

How are book sales going? A bit slow to say the least. I've given away more books than I've sold up until now, but that will change very shortly. One Night in Rome: And the end of life as I knew it is a wonderful story full of love and adventure. I know that. Everyone who's read it know that. Now, I just need more people to buy it and spread the word. "Breathe and believe" - I tell myself while wondering when the next door will open.

So back to press releases and work on making that happen. Hollywood, here I come!
